Sucks that his throat was shot. Maybe things would've been much different had he been able to talk from the beginning.
Lucky for Taylor, he had some apes on his side. They were able to break Taylor out and take him to the forbidden zone.
The doctor had to balance religion and science, a tough job for one person.
Taylor was able to escape with Nova. They're probably going to go repopulate the earth or something.
